HQ GALLERY

The transformation of our HQ in Lyndoch was not for the faint-hearted! The demolition of the condemned residence, and the restoration of the original stone building (circa 1880), was a massive project to manage, while also running the business - we took a big risk to bring our vision to life!

We faced loads of unexpected challenges and found many historical surprises along the way! After 2 years of restoration and renovation, our HQ is becoming a vibrant and fun-filled space for people to enjoy!

Stage 1 - WHAT A MESS! This stage included the demolition of the condemned residence, which was attached to the side wall of the original stone building. The stonework was repaired, repointed and limewashed. We added an amazing mural by a South Australian artist to modernise the streetscape and freshened the buildings with loads of paint! Landscaping had started to bring colour and life, and garden lights were added to highlight the beautiful exterior stone wall at night-time.

An accessible ramp was constructed to create an inclusive entry, which is now our new entrance through a secret doorway that was found during the demolition! The site of the demolished residence is now a fully fenced Adventure Garden for events and experiences, with garden bed edging created using the stone retained from the demolition. Even the old outdoor dunny had a facelift!

Stage 2 - We have approval to construct a 150sqm barn shed on the property, which will offer more flexible spaces for our events and experiences. We have other exciting plans for the 2000sqm property.

Stage 3 - We have plans to build an accessible bathroom, parents' room and kitchen on the side of the stone building. All of our events and experiences help us to fund additional projects and improve the site.

We still have quite a bit of work to do and things to finish off, but this project will always be a work-in-progress!

This is now an inviting space to enjoy for many years to come, and we are incredibly proud to be the custodians of this historical site in Lyndoch.

We hope to see you at one of our HQ experiences soon!
