Benefits of VADCEE
There are a number of veterans choosing to start a business as a result of not ‘fitting into’ paid employment options, including disillusionment with finding suitable remuneration/conditions in consideration of military skills and experience. The requirement to start a business is based on necessity, independence and the ability to control the working environment/culture.
Although there are a number of veteran/defence enterprises advertised on social media, it is difficult for a number of business owners to manage an online business for products that do not have the online capability. It is also difficult to locate businesses that support the local community (ie; veteran-owned garden maintenance or spouse catering business) when browsing through social media business groups.
VADCEE stallholders will be offered free participation in this activity, therefore “hard selling” is not permitted - the event is designed for the purposes of exposure and networking only.
Expo attendees will also be provided with a printed directory of local enterprises to assist with brand recognition, referrals and future engagement.
